Approximately eight and a half years ago, Emilie tagged me to sum up my life (at this point in time) in six words or less. So here goes:
Life is precious. Never waste a minute. ("a" doesn't count as a word, right?)
I can't tell you how many times I've had people at work (who work fewer hours than I do) ask me, "How do you do it?" They say that at the end of a long day all they want to do is go home and plant themselves on the sofa. They can't understand how I would head to the gym and put in a 2-hour workout . . . or head outside for a 10-mile run . . . or hurry to Chelsea Piers to play soccer . . . or quickly pack and jump on an airplane to a race somewhere. Well, it's easy. I just don't want to waste the finite amount of time I have on this planet! Now, that's not to say that I don't have days where I simply want to curl up on the couch and take a nap . . . I do have those days, and as we all know, I sometimes give in to those urges. But for the most part, I try to make the most of every minute of every day. Sure it leaves me more than a little tired at times, but I like it that way. I'm young . . . I can take it!
Okay, so I know this is the part where I'm supposed to tag people to write up their own mini-memoirs, but um . . . I feel like everyone has done this already. Thus, I will leave it up to you. If you haven't shared your mini-memoir with the world yet and feel so inclined to do so, by all means, go for it!
